Competitive robotics requires talent, creativity, dedication—and significant resources. Each season, the Rocketeers design, manufacture, wire, program, test, and compete with a full-scale robot while gaining meaningful experience in engineering, technology, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving.
During the previous season, Team 8114 operated with a budget of approximately $37,000, the largest in the team’s history. Every contribution helped our students purchase parts, attend competitions, develop new skills, and represent Boerne on a larger stage.
For the 2026–2027 season, the team has established a fundraising goal of at least $50,000. Sponsorships provide the equipment, materials, training, and competition opportunities our students need to keep learning, improving, and reaching for more.
WHERE YOUR SUPPORT GOES
Registration fees and other expenses required to participate in FIRST qualifying events and championship competitions.
Shop tools, safety equipment, testing equipment, and specialized technology that allow students to safely manufacture, assemble, and improve the robot.
Motors, sensors, electrical components, raw materials, replacement parts, and everything else needed to transform a design into a competition-ready robot.
Transportation, hotel accommodations, and other travel expenses required to bring our students, mentors, robot, and equipment to competitions.
Meals, snacks, and water help keep students focused and energized during long build sessions, competition days, and the many eight-hour workdays required to prepare the robot.
Software, educational resources, training materials, practice components, and smaller off-season projects that allow students to develop new technical skills throughout the year.
The Rocketeers are deeply grateful to the businesses, organizations, families, and community members whose generosity keeps Team 8114 moving forward.
Their support provides students with the tools, resources, experiences, and encouragement needed to learn, compete, serve our community, and reach for new goals. We are proud to recognize the partners who invest in our students and believe in the future of STEM education.
